چکیده

Research reported in this paper was carried to study the water permeability of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) with varied aspect ratios of steel fibres. Corrugated steel fibres were used in the investigation at constant fibre content of 0.5%. Relationship of water permeability with compressive strength and split tensile strengths has been presented. The water permeability was observed to decrease significantly with the decrease in the aspect ratio of fibres. Keywords—Fibre reinforced concrete, steel fibre reinforced concrete, Water permeability.

Experimental Study on the Strength Characteristics and Water Permeability of Hybrid Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete

Results of an investigation conducted to study the effect of fibre hybridization on the strength characteristics such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, and water permeability of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) are presented. Steel fibres of different lengths, that is, 12.5 mm, 25 mm, and 50 mm, having constant diameter of 0.6 mm, were systematically combined in different m...

Evaluation of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Concrete Exposed to Severe Environmental Conditions

Hybrid fiber reinforced concrete (HFRC) consisting of two or more different types of fibers has been widely investigated because of its superior mechanical properties. In the present study, the effect of the addition of steel (0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1% of concrete volume) and Polypropylene (0.2%, 0.4%, and 0.6% of concrete volume) fibers on the surface scaling resistance of concrete, depth of ...

Influence of Fibers and Fly Ash on Mechanical Properties of Concrete

The Present study was carried out to evaluate the influence of addition of Fibres and Class ‘C’ Flyash on the mechanical properties of concrete. Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is very useful in extreme climate where shrinkage of concrete causes cracks. The Fibre Reinforced Flyash concrete (FRFAC) has been successfully used to minimize cavitations / damages in hydraulics structures. The FRC wit...

Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Concrete With Steel And

The experimental study deals with Hybrid fibre reinforced concrete with the use of (Polypropylene and Recycled polyethylene terephthalate RPET). The M40 grade concrete used was designed by using IS10262-2009 code. The steel fibre and synthetic fibre were added at the volume fractions up to 0.5%. Test results showed that the fibres, when used in a hybrid form, could result in superior composite ...
